HIGH HOPES
Colossians 1: 26-28
the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints. 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
THERE IS A HOPE THAT IS FALSE
THERE IS A POSITION OF NO HOPE
Ephesians 2: 12
remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
1 Thessalonians 4: 13
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.
THE POSITION OF TRUE HOPE
1 Peter 1: 3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Romans 8: 18-20
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
