Salvation

Since our written presentation on salvation may not be helpful to everyone seeking understanding and in fact is not an exclusive means of gaining understanding, attached are several web links below Our Presentation that may assist you in your search for understanding the need for Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.

Our Presentation
We recognize that “all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” as stated in the Holy Bible in the book of Romans 3:23. We believe all people need the Savior Jesus Christ as redeemer and Lord of their lives, that “God shows us his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” as stated in Romans 5:8. In John 3:16 the scripture states “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” Further in 2 Peter 3:9 scripture says, The Lord “is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” God’s Holy Word in Hebrews 9:22 says “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.” Jesus was willing to redeem us, and he stated, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace” says the book of Ephesians 1:7. But what must I do to be saved? Both in the book of Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast” and states Romans 4:5 “And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness”. Your faith is required. You can let God know of your decision to choose faith in His Son through a simple prayer to Him something like this:

Lord God, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that you love me and sent your son Jesus to pay the penalty of my sin. I believe I am forgiven of my sin now. I believe His life, death and resurrection were for me. Send me your Holy Spirit as my helper as I live the rest of my life for you. I am completely yours. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer in faith, congratulations you are now a Christian. Welcome to the family of believers. You are invited to attend a fellowship of believers commonly called a church. At a church you will learn your part in God’s plan for your life as you study His love letter to you, the Bible. At the place of a church, there are opportunities to learn, grow in your new faith and serve the Lord God by serving others.
