Shepherd&#8217;s Joy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 15:1-7 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, \u201cThis man receives sinners and eats with them.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So he told them this parable:<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cWhat man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, \u2018Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The LORD your God is in your midst, <span class=\"poetry2\">a mighty one who will save;<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\">he will rejoice over you with gladness;<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">he will quiet you by his love;<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\">he will exult over you with loud singing.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Woman&#8217;s Search<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 15:8-10 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cOr what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it?<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, \u2018Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Sinner&#8217;s Plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 15:11-16 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0And he said, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cThere was a man who had two sons.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And the younger of them said to his father, \u2018Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.\u2019 And he divided his property between them.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Father&#8217;s Love<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 15:17-24 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cBut when he came to himself, he said, \u2018How many of my father\u2019s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, \u201cFather, I have sinned against heaven and before you.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.\u201d\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">21 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And the son said to him, \u2018Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">But the father said to his servants, \u2018Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.\u2019 And they began to celebrate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Psalm 143:10 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Teach me to do your will, <span class=\"poetry2\">for you are my God!<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\">Let your good Spirit lead me<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">on level ground!<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Psalm 51:17 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; <span class=\"poetry2\">a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Brother&#8217;s Spite<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 15:25-32 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">25 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cNow his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">26 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">27 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And he said to him, \u2018Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">28 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him,<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">29 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">but he answered his father, \u2018Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">30 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">31 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And he said to him, \u2018Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">32 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>1 Timothy 2:3-4 (ESV)<\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOST &amp; FOUND Luke Chapter 15 by Rev.
