Richard Jones<\/b><\/h2>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-9706-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05-17-2026.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05-17-2026.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/05-17-2026.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Introduction<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 11:53-54 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">53 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0As he went away from there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press him hard and to provoke him to speak about many things,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">54 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0lying in wait for him, to catch him in something he might say.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Warning About Hypocrisy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 12:1-3 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0In the meantime, when so many thousands of the people had gathered together that they were trampling one another, he began to say to his disciples first, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cBeware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ecclesiastes 12:14 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.<\/p>\n<p><b>Romans 2:15-16 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Warning About Fearing People<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 12:4-7 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cI tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>2 Timothy 3:12 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,<\/p>\n<p><b>Proverbs 9:10 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, <span class=\"poetry2\">and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Warning About Denying Jesus<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 12:8-12 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cAnd I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God,<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious about how you should defend yourself or what you should say,<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Mark 3:28-29 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">28 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cTruly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter,<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">29 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Acts 7:51 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">51 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0\u201cYou stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you.<\/p>\n<p><b>Acts 4:8-12 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, \u201cRulers of the people and elders,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0if we are being examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead\u2014by him this man is standing before you well.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>John 3:35-36 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">35 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">36 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BE WARNED Luke 12: 1-12 \u00a0by Rev.
