Matthew 23:37 (ESV) <\/b>
\n37 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0\u201cO Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing!<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Nurturing Nature of God<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Isaiah 66:12-13 (ESV) <\/b>
\n12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For thus says the LORD: \u201cBehold, I will extend peace to her like a river,<\/span> and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream;<\/span> and you shall nurse, you shall be carried upon her hip,<\/span> and bounced upon her knees.<\/span>
\n13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you;<\/span> you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The Nurturing Ministry of the Church<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1 Thessalonians 2:7-8 (ESV) <\/b>
\n7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.
\n8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us.<\/p>\n

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV) <\/b>
\n11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.<\/p>\n
