Richard Jones<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-9674-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/04-26-2026.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/04-26-2026.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/04-26-2026.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A Terrible Slander<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 11:14-20 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Now he was casting out a demon that was mute. When the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke, and the people marveled.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But some of them said, \u201cHe casts out demons by Beelzebul, the prince of demons,\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0while others, to test him, kept seeking from him a sign from heaven.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cEvery kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household falls.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Matthew 12:22-24 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And all the people were amazed, and said, \u201cCan this be the Son of David?\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, \u201cIt is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Acts 19:11-17 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, \u201cI adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But the evil spirit answered them, \u201cJesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>An Obvious Fact<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 11:21-23 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">21 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are safe;<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">but when one stronger than he attacks him and overcomes him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted and divides his spoil.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>1 John 3:8 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.<\/p>\n<p><b>Colossians 2:13-15 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A Dangerous Condition<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 11:24-28 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cWhen the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says, \u2018I will return to my house from which I came.\u2019<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">25 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And when it comes, it finds the house swept and put in order.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">26 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Then it goes and brings seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that person is worse than the first.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">27 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, \u201cBlessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">28 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But he said, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cBlessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A Last Sign<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 11:29-32 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">29 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0When the crowds were increasing, he began to say, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cThis generation is an evil generation. It seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">30 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">For as Jonah became a sign to the people of Nineveh, so will the Son of Man be to this generation.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">31 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">32 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Matthew 12:38-40 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">38 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, \u201cTeacher, we wish to see a sign from you.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">39 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But he answered them, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cAn evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">40 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Acts 2:22-24 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0\u201cMen of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know\u2014<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.<\/p>\n<p><b>John 15:22-24 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Whoever hates me hates my Father also.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OPPOSED TO JESUS Luke 11: 14-32 \u00a0by Rev.
