Model of Greatness<\/strong><\/h2>\nLuke 9:46-48 (ESV) <\/b>
\n46 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0An argument arose among them as to which of them was the greatest.
\n47 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But Jesus, knowing the reasoning of their hearts, took a child and put him by his side
\n48 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and said to them, \u201cWhoever receives this child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nMark 9:33-37 (ESV) <\/b>
\n33 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they came to Capernaum. And when he was in the house he asked them, \u201cWhat were you discussing on the way?\u201d<\/span>
\n34 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But they kept silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest.
\n35 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, \u201cIf anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.\u201d<\/span>
\n36 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he took a child and put him in the midst of them, and taking him in his arms, he said to them,
\n37 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0\u201cWhoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nJames 2:1-4 (ESV) <\/b>
\n1 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.
\n2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in,
\n3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, \u201cYou sit here in a good place,\u201d while you say to the poor man, \u201cYou stand over there,\u201d or, \u201cSit down at my feet,\u201d
\n4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?<\/span><\/p>\nPhilippians 2:5-8 (ESV) <\/b>
\n5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,
\n6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
\n7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
\n8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
