Richard Jones<\/b><\/h2>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-9564-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/02-15-2026.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/02-15-2026.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/02-15-2026.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Glory on the Mountain<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 9:28-31 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">28 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Now about eight days after these sayings he took with him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">29 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">30 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And behold, two men were talking with him, Moses and Elijah,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">31 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>John 1:14 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.<\/p>\n<p><b>Hebrews 1:1-3 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Exodus 33:18-23 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Moses said, \u201cPlease show me your glory.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he said, \u201cI will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name \u2018The <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">LORD<\/span>.\u2019 And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But,\u201d he said, \u201cyou cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">21 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the LORD said, \u201cBehold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>John 8:12 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cI am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Visit from Old Friends<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 9:30-33 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">30 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And behold, two men were talking with him, Moses and Elijah,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">31 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0who appeared in glory and spoke of his departure, which he was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">32 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now Peter and those who were with him were heavy with sleep, but when they became fully awake they saw his glory and the two men who stood with him.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">33 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And as the men were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, \u201cMaster, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah\u201d\u2014not knowing what he said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Affirmation from the Father<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Luke 9:34-36 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">34 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0As he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">35 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, \u201cThis is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">36 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. And they kept silent and told no one in those days anything of what they had seen.<\/p>\n<p><b>Matthew 17:5-6 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, \u201cThis is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified.<\/p>\n<p><b>Deuteronomy 18:15 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0\u201cThe <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">LORD<\/span> your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers\u2014it is to him you shall listen\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Matthew 17:7-8 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But Jesus came and touched them, saying, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cRise, and have no fear.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mark 9:9-10 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen, until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So they kept the matter to themselves, questioning what this rising from the dead might mean.<\/p>\n<p><b>2 Peter 1:16-19 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, \u201cThis is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Revelation 21:23 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MAJESTIC JESUS Luke 9: 28-36 \u00a0by Rev.
