THE WITNESS OF TWO HEALINGS<\/span><\/b><\/h1>\n

Luke 8: 40-56<\/b><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Not Too Proud To Ask<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Luke 8:40-42 (ESV) <\/b>
\n40 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now when Jesus returned, the crowd welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
\n41 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus\u2019 feet, he implored him to come to his house,
\n42 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0for he had an only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she was dying. As Jesus went, the people pressed around him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 5:22-24 (ESV) <\/b>
\n22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name, and seeing him, he fell at his feet
\n23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and implored him earnestly, saying, \u201cMy little daughter is at the point of death. Come and lay your hands on her, so that she may be made well and live.\u201d
\n24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he went with him. And a great crowd followed him and thronged about him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not Lost In The Crowd<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Luke 8:43-48 (ESV) <\/b>
\n43 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and though she had spent all her living on physicians, she could not be healed by anyone.
\n44 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, and immediately her discharge of blood ceased.
\n45 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And Jesus said, \u201cWho was it that touched me?\u201d<\/span> When all denied it, Peter said, \u201cMaster, the crowds surround you and are pressing in on you!\u201d
\n46 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But Jesus said, \u201cSomeone touched me, for I perceive that power has gone out from me.\u201d<\/span>
\n47 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched him, and how she had been immediately healed.
\n48 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he said to her, \u201cDaughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 5:25-28 (ESV) <\/b>
\n25 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years,
\n26 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse.
\n27 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment.
\n28 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For she said, \u201cIf I touch even his garments, I will be made well.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Not Hopeless With Jesus<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Luke 8:49-56 (ESV) <\/b>
\n49 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler\u2019s house came and said, \u201cYour daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more.\u201d
\n50 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But Jesus on hearing this answered him, \u201cDo not fear; only believe, and she will be well.\u201d<\/span>
\n51 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when he came to the house, he allowed no one to enter with him, except Peter and John and James, and the father and mother of the child.
\n52 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And all were weeping and mourning for her, but he said, \u201cDo not weep, for she is not dead but sleeping.\u201d<\/span>
\n53 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead.
\n54 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But taking her by the hand he called, saying, \u201cChild, arise.\u201d<\/span>
\n55 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And her spirit returned, and she got up at once. And he directed that something should be given her to eat.
\n56 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And her parents were amazed, but he charged them to tell no one what had happened.<\/p>\n

Matthew 9:23-24 (ESV) <\/b>
\n23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when Jesus came to the ruler\u2019s house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion,
\n24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0he said, \u201cGo away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.\u201d<\/span> And they laughed at him.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 5:6-9 (ESV) <\/b>
\n6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord,
\n7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0for we walk by faith, not by sight.
\n8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
\n9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.<\/p>\n

Mark 5:41-42 (ESV) <\/b>
\n41 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Taking her by the hand he said to her, \u201cTalitha cumi,\u201d<\/span> which means, \u201cLittle girl, I say to you, arise.\u201d<\/span>
\n42 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement.<\/p>\n
