Richard Jones<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-9449-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/11-23-2025.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/11-23-2025.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/11-23-2025.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>A Soldier\u2019s Faith<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>Luke 7: 1-10<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>1 <\/b><b>After he had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum. <\/b><b>2<\/b><b> Now a centurion had a servant who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him. <\/b><b>3<\/b><b> When the centurion <\/b><b>heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant. <\/b><b>4 <\/b><b>And when they came to Jesus, they <\/b><b>pleaded with him earnestly, saying, \u201cHe is worthy to have you do this for him, <\/b><b>5<\/b><b> for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue.\u201d <\/b><b>6 <\/b><b>And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, \u201cLord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. <\/b><b>7 <\/b><b>Therefore I did not presume to come to <\/b><b>you. But say the word, and let <\/b><b>my <\/b><b>servant be healed. <\/b><b>8 <\/b><b>For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, \u2018Go,\u2019 and he goes; and to another, \u2018Come,\u2019 and he comes; and to my servant, \u2018Do this,\u2019 and he does it.\u201d <\/b><b>9<\/b><b> When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the <\/b><b>crowd that followed him, said, \u201cI tell you, <\/b><b>not even in Israel have I found such faith.\u201d <\/b><b>10<\/b><b> And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Matthew 8: 10-13<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>10<\/b><b> When Jesus heard this, he marveled <\/b><b>and said to those who followed him, \u201c<\/b><b>Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel have I found such faith. <\/b><b>11<\/b><b> I tell <\/b><b>you,<\/b><b> many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, <\/b><b>12 <\/b><b>while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. <\/b><b>In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.\u201d <\/b><b>13<\/b><b> And to the <\/b><b>centurion Jesus said, \u201cGo; let it be done for you as you have believed.\u201d And the servant was healed at that very moment.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>A Mother\u2019s Comfort<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>Luke 7: 11-17<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>11\u00a0<\/b><b>Soon afterward<\/b> <b>he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him.\u00a0<\/b><b>12\u00a0<\/b><b>As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother,\u00a0<\/b><b>and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her.\u00a0<\/b><b>13\u00a0<\/b><b>And when the Lord saw her,\u00a0he had compassion on her and\u00a0said to her,\u00a0\u201cDo not<\/b><b> weep\u201d <\/b><b>14\u00a0<\/b><b>Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, \u201cYoung man, I say to you, arise.\u201d\u00a0<\/b><b>15\u00a0<\/b><b>And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus<\/b> <b>gave him to his mother.\u00a0<\/b><b>16\u00a0<\/b><b>Fear seized them all, and\u00a0they glorified God, saying,\u00a0\u201cA great prophet has arisen among us!\u201d and\u00a0\u201cGod has visited his people!\u201d\u00a0<\/b><b>17\u00a0<\/b><b>And this report about him spread through the whole of Judea <\/b><b>and all the surrounding country.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Proverbs 3:5-6<\/b><b> <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, <span class=\"poetry2\">and do not lean on your own understanding. <\/span><span class=\"poetry1\">6 In all your ways acknowledge him, <\/span><span class=\"poetry1\"><span class=\"poetry2\">and he will make straight your paths.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHALLENGED TO TRUST Luke 7: 1-17 \u00a0by Rev.
