Richard Jones<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-9406-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/10-26-2025.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/10-26-2025.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/10-26-2025.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Snack on Saturday<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>Luke 6: 1-5<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>1<\/b> <b>On a Sabbath, while he was going through the grainfields, his disciples plucked and ate some heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands. <\/b><b>2<\/b><b> But some of the Pharisees said, \u201cWhy are you doing what is not lawful <\/b><b>to do on the Sabbath?\u201d <\/b><b>3<\/b><b> And Jesus answered them, \u201cHave you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: <\/b><b>4<\/b><b> how he entered the house of God and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those with him?\u201d <\/b><b>5<\/b><b> And he said to <\/b><b>them, \u201cThe Son of Man is lord of <\/b><b>the Sabbath.\u201d<br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Exodus 20: 8-11<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>8\u00a0<\/b><b>\u201cRemember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.\u00a0<\/b><b>9\u00a0<\/b><b>Six days you shall labor, and do all your work,\u00a0<\/b><b>10\u00a0<\/b><b>but the\u00a0seventh day is a Sabbath to the\u00a0<\/b><b>Lord<\/b><b> your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant,\u00a0<\/b><b>or your female servant, or your livestock, or <\/b><b>the\u00a0sojourner who is within your gates.\u00a0<\/b><b>11\u00a0<\/b><b>For\u00a0in six days the\u00a0Lord\u00a0made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. <\/b><b>Therefore<\/b><b> the\u00a0Lord\u00a0blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Deuteronomy 23: 24-25<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>24<\/b><b> \u201cIf you go into your neighbor&#8217;s vineyard, you may eat your fill of grapes, as many as you wish, but you shall not put any in your bag. <\/b><b>25<\/b><b> If you go into your neighbor&#8217;s standing grain, you may pluck the ears with your hand, but you shall not put a sickle to your <\/b><b>neighbor&#8217;s standing grain.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Mark 2: 27-28<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>27 <\/b><b>And he said to them, \u201cThe Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. <\/b><b>28<\/b><b> So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>Defiance of Jesus<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>Luke 6: 6-11<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>6\u00a0<\/b><b>On another Sabbath,\u00a0he entered the synagogue\u00a0and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered.\u00a0<\/b><b>7\u00a0<\/b><b>And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath,\u00a0<\/b><b>so that they might find a reason to accuse him.\u00a0<\/b><b>8<\/b><b>\u00a0But\u00a0he knew their thoughts, and he said to the man with the withered hand,\u00a0\u201cCome and stand here.\u201d\u00a0And he rose and stood there.<\/b><b>\u00a09\u00a0<\/b><b>And Jesus said to them, \u201cI ask you, is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?\u201d\u00a0<\/b><b>10<\/b><b>\u00a0And\u00a0after looking around at them all he said to him,\u00a0\u201cStretch out your hand.\u201d\u00a0And\u00a0he did so, and his hand was restored.\u00a0<\/b><b>11<\/b><b>\u00a0But they were filled with\u00a0fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Mark 3: 6<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>6\u00a0<\/b><b>The Pharisees went out and immediately\u00a0held counsel with\u00a0the Herodians against him, how to destroy him.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>The Master\u2019s Men<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>Luke 6: 12-16<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>12<\/b><b> In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God. <\/b><b>13<\/b><b> And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles: <\/b><b>14<\/b><b> Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, <\/b><b>15 <\/b><b>and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, <\/b><b>16<\/b><b> and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Mark 3: 13-14<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>13 <\/b><b>And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. <\/b><b>14 <\/b><b>And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach.<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Ephesians 2:19-20<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LORD OF EVERYTHING Luke 6:1-16 \u00a0by Rev.
