And when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and begged Him, \u201cLord, if you will, you can make me clean.\u201d 13 And Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, \u201cI will; be clean.\u201d And immediately the leprosy left him. 14 And He charged him to tell no one, but \u201cgo and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a proof to them.\u201d 15 But now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear Him and to be healed of their infirmities. 16 But He would withdraw to desolate places and pray.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Leviticus 13: 45-46<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>45\u201cThe leprous person who has the disease shall wear torn clothes and let the hair of his head hang loose, and he shall cover his upper lip and cry out, \u2018Unclean, unclean.\u2019 46 He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease. He is unclean. He shall live alone. His dwelling shall be outside the camp.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Ma<\/u><\/strong><strong><u>rk 1: 40-42<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>40 And a leper came to Him, imploring Him, and kneeling said to Him, \u201cIf you will, you can make me clean.\u201d 41 Moved with pity, He stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, \u201cI will; be clean.\u201d 42 And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Mark 1: 44-45<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>44 and said to him, \u201cSee that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a proof to them.\u201d 45 But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Testing the Rabbi<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong><u>Luke 5: 17<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>17 On one of those days, as He was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law were sitting there, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was with Him to heal.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Trusting the Healer<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong><u>Luke 5: 18-21<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>18 And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus, 19 but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. 20 And when He saw their faith, He said, \u201cMan, your sins are forgiven you.\u201d 21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, \u201cWho is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Colossians 2: 13-14<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the cross.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Mark 2: 1-7<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>1And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home. 2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them. 3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. 4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay. 5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, \u201cSon, your sins are forgiven.\u201d 6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, 7 \u201cWhy does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Teaching the Arrogant<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong><u>Luke 5: 22-26<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>22 When Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered them, \u201cWhy do you question in your hearts? 23 Which is easier, to say, \u2018Your sins are forgiven you,\u2019 or to say, \u2018Rise and walk\u2019? 24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins\u201d\u2014He said to the man who was paralyzed\u2014I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.\u201d 25 And immediately he rose up before them and picked up what he had been lying on and went home, glorifying God. 26 And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, \u201cWe have seen extraordinary things today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE IMPORTANCE OF INDIVIDUALS Luke 5: 12-26 \u00a0by Rev.
