Galatians 6:14<\/strong><\/h3>\n

14\u00a0<\/b>But far be it from me to boast\u00a0except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which\u00a0the world\u00a0has been crucified to me, and I to the world.<\/p>\n

Philippians 3: 5-7<\/strong><\/h3>\n

5\u00a0<\/b>circumcised on the eighth day,\u00a0of the people of Israel,\u00a0of the tribe of Benjamin,\u00a0a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the law,\u00a0a Pharisee;\u00a06\u00a0<\/b>as to zeal,\u00a0a persecutor of the church;\u00a0as to righteousness under the law,\u00a0blameless.\u00a07\u00a0<\/b>But\u00a0whatever gain I had,\u00a0I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 11: 22-30<\/strong><\/h3>\n

22\u00a0<\/b>Are they Hebrews?\u00a0So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I.\u00a023\u00a0<\/b>Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one\u2014I am talking like a madman\u2014with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death.\u00a024\u00a0<\/b>Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the\u00a0forty lashes less one.\u00a025\u00a0<\/b>Three times I was\u00a0beaten with rods.\u00a0Once I was stoned. Three times I\u00a0was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea;\u00a026\u00a0<\/b>on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27\u00a0<\/b>in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night,\u00a0in hunger and thirst, often without food,\u00a0in cold and exposure.\u00a028\u00a0<\/b>And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for\u00a0all the churches.\u00a029\u00a0<\/b>Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant? 30\u00a0<\/b>If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 2: 1-5<\/strong><\/h3>\n

And I, when I came to you, brothers,\u00a0did not come proclaiming to you\u00a0the testimony\u00a0of God with lofty speech or wisdom.\u00a02\u00a0<\/b>For I decided to know nothing among you except\u00a0Jesus Christ and him crucified.\u00a03\u00a0<\/b>And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling,\u00a04\u00a0<\/b>and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of\u00a0the Spirit and of power,\u00a05\u00a0<\/b>so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but\u00a0in the power of God.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 1: 18<\/strong><\/h3>\n

18\u00a0<\/b>For the word of the cross is\u00a0folly to\u00a0those who are perishing, but to us\u00a0who are being saved it is\u00a0the power of God.<\/p>\n

Romans 5: 6-8<\/strong><\/h3>\n

6\u00a0<\/b>For\u00a0while we were still weak, at the right time\u00a0Christ died for the ungodly.\u00a07\u00a0<\/b>For one will scarcely die for a righteous person\u2014though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die\u2014\u00a08\u00a0<\/b>but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.<\/p>\n

Titus 3: 4-6<\/strong><\/h3>\n

4\u00a0<\/b>But when\u00a0the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,\u00a05\u00a0<\/b>he saved us,\u00a0not because of works done by us in righteousness, but\u00a0according to his own mercy, by\u00a0the washing of regeneration and\u00a0renewal of the Holy Spirit,\u00a06\u00a0<\/b>whom he\u00a0poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,<\/p>\n

Paul Knew the PERSON OF THE CROSS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Colossians 1: 15-20<\/strong><\/h3>\n

15\u00a0<\/b>He is the image of\u00a0the invisible God,\u00a0the firstborn of all creation.\u00a016\u00a0<\/b>For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities\u2014all things were created through him and for him.\u00a017\u00a0<\/b>And\u00a0he is before all things, and in him all things\u00a0hold together.\u00a018\u00a0<\/b>And\u00a0he is the head of the body, the church. He is\u00a0the beginning,\u00a0the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.\u00a019\u00a0<\/b>For\u00a0in him all the\u00a0fullness of God was pleased to dwell,\u00a020\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven,\u00a0making peace\u00a0by the blood of his cross.<\/p>\n

Paul knew the POWER OF THE CROSS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Galatians 2: 2<\/strong>0<\/h3>\n

20\u00a0<\/b>I have been\u00a0crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives\u00a0in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God,\u00a0who loved me and\u00a0gave himself for me.<\/p>\n

Paul knew the PURPOSE OF THE CROSS<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1 Peter 2: 9-10<\/strong><\/h3>\n

9\u00a0<\/b>But you are\u00a0a chosen race,\u00a0a royal\u00a0priesthood,\u00a0a holy nation,\u00a0a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you\u00a0out of darkness into\u00a0his marvelous light.\u00a010\u00a0<\/b>Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.<\/p>\n

1 Peter 1: 18-19<\/h3>\n

18\u00a0<\/b>knowing that you\u00a0were ransomed from\u00a0the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,\u00a019\u00a0<\/b>but\u00a0with the precious blood of Christ, like that of\u00a0a lamb\u00a0without blemish or spot.<\/p>\n
