Appearing to the D<\/b>isc\u00edples<\/b><\/h2>\n

John 20: 19-23<\/strong><\/p>\n

19 So when it was evening on that day, the first\u00a0day\u00a0of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for\u00a0fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and *said to them, \u201cPeace\u00a0be\u00a0with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

20 And when He had said this,\u00a0He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then\u00a0rejoiced when they saw the Lord.<\/p>\n

21 So Jesus said to them again,\u00a0\u201cPeace\u00a0be\u00a0with you;\u00a0as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.\u201d<\/p>\n

22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and *said to them,\u00a0\u201cReceive the Holy Spirit.\u00a023\u00a0If you forgive the sins of any,\u00a0their sins\u00a0have been forgiven them; if you retain the\u00a0sins\u00a0of any, they have been retained.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Three things happen that evening: <\/b><\/u><\/h2>\n

1) <\/b>the Peace of Christ <\/b>& the Evidences of Christ<\/b><\/p>\n

2) <\/b>the Spirit of Christ <\/b>\u00a0& the Sending of Christ, and<\/b><\/p>\n

3) the Grace of Christ <\/b>& the Church of Christ.<\/b><\/p>\n

An Intriguing MIX of Spiritual & Practical Matters<\/strong><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Gospel of John = Jesus sent by the Father<\/b><\/h2>\n

Jesus said to them, \u201cMy food is to do the will of Him who <\/i>SENT ME<\/i><\/b><\/u> and to accomplish His work.\u201d \u2013 John 4:34<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who <\/i>SENT ME<\/i><\/b><\/u>.\u201d \u2013 John 5:30<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cFor I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who <\/i>SENT ME<\/i><\/b><\/u>.\u201d \u2013 John 6:38 <\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cThen Jesus cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, \u201cYou both know Me and know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who <\/i>SENT ME<\/i><\/b><\/u> is true, whom you do not know.\u201d \u2013 John 7:28 <\/i><\/p>\n

“And Jesus cried out and said, \u201cHe who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who <\/i>SENT ME<\/i><\/b><\/u>.\u201d \u2013 John 12:44 <\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom <\/i>You have SENT<\/i><\/b><\/u>.\u201d\u00a0 \u2013 John 17:3<\/i><\/p>\n

Our mission is:<\/i><\/strong>
\n<\/i><\/b>– reveal PEACE & GRACE of Christ
\n– participate in His mission
\n– preach freedom to the captives<\/b><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cPEACE\u00a0be\u00a0with you;\u00a0as the Father has sent Me, I\u00a0 also send you\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n
