CONSEQUENCE OF ADAM<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 5:12-14 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

12\u00a0 Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned\u2014 13\u00a0 for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. 14\u00a0 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.<\/p>\n

Genesis 2:15-17 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n15\u00a0 The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16\u00a0 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, \u201cYou may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17\u00a0 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.\u201d<\/p>\n

CONTRAST WITH CHRIST<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 5:15-17 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

15\u00a0 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man\u2019s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. 16\u00a0 And the free gift is not like the result of that one man\u2019s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. 17\u00a0 For if, because of one man\u2019s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 2:1-7 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n1\u00a0 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2\u00a0 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience\u20143\u00a0 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4\u00a0 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5\u00a0 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ\u2014by grace you have been saved\u2014 6\u00a0 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7\u00a0 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n17\u00a0 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.<\/p>\n

CONQUEST OF GRACE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 5:18-21 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

18\u00a0 Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. 19\u00a0 For as by the one man\u2019s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man\u2019s obedience the many will be made righteous. 20\u00a0 Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21\u00a0 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.<\/p>\n
