WHEN GOD GIVES UP<\/u><\/b><\/h1>\n

Romans 1: 18-32<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Romans 1:16-17 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

16\u00a0 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.<\/p>\n

17\u00a0 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, \u201cThe righteous shall live by faith.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

THE INTELLIGENCE OF MANKIND<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 1:18-20 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

18\u00a0 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. 19\u00a0 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20\u00a0 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.<\/p>\n

Psalm 19:1-6 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
\n2\u00a0 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. 3\u00a0 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. 4\u00a0 Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,
\n5\u00a0 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. 6\u00a0 Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.<\/p>\n

THE IGNORANCE OF MANKIND<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 1:21-23 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

21\u00a0 For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22\u00a0 Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23\u00a0 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 10:19-20 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

19\u00a0 What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20\u00a0 No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons.<\/p>\n

THE INDULGENCE OF MANKIND<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 1:24-27 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

24\u00a0 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25\u00a0 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. 26\u00a0 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27\u00a0 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.<\/p>\n

THE IMPENITENCE OF MANKIND<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Romans 1:28-32 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

28\u00a0 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. 29\u00a0 They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, 30\u00a0 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31\u00a0 foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32\u00a0 Though they know God\u2019s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n

9\u00a0 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10\u00a0 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11\u00a0 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.<\/p>\n
