And other boats were with him. 37\u00a0 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38\u00a0 But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, \u201cTeacher, do you not care that we are perishing?\u201d 39\u00a0 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, \u201cPeace! Be still!\u201d And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40\u00a0 He said to them, \u201cWhy are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?\u201d<br \/>\n41\u00a0 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, \u201cWho then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>He is the CREATIVE CHRIST<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:1-5 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1\u00a0 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2\u00a0 He was in the beginning with God. 3\u00a0 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4\u00a0 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5\u00a0 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colossians 1:16-17 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n16\u00a0 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities\u2014all things were created through him and for him. 17\u00a0 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>He is the CHRISTMAS CHRIST<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:14 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>14\u00a0 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Galatians 4:4-5 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n4\u00a0 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law,<br \/>\n5\u00a0 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>He is the COMPASSIONATE CHRIST<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke 4:38-40 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>38\u00a0 And he arose and left the synagogue and entered Simon\u2019s house. Now Simon\u2019s mother-in-law was ill with a high fever, and they appealed to him on her behalf. 39\u00a0 And he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately she rose and began to serve them. 40\u00a0 Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>He is the CRUCIFIED CHRIST<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark 15:33-39 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>33\u00a0 And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. 34\u00a0 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, \u201cEloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?\u201d which means, \u201cMy God, my God, why have you forsaken me?\u201d 35\u00a0 And some of the bystanders hearing it said, \u201cBehold, he is calling Elijah.\u201d 36\u00a0 And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a reed and gave it to him to drink, saying, \u201cWait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.\u201d 37\u00a0 And Jesus uttered a loud cry and breathed his last. 38\u00a0 And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. 39\u00a0 And when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, \u201cTruly this man was the Son of God!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n21\u00a0 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isaiah 53:3-6 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n3\u00a0 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4\u00a0 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5\u00a0 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. 6\u00a0 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned\u2014every one\u2014to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 19:28-30 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n28\u00a0 After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), \u201cI thirst.\u201d 29\u00a0 A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30\u00a0 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, \u201cIt is finished,\u201d and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>He is the CONQUERING CHRIST<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Acts 1:6-11 (ESV)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6\u00a0 So when they had come together, they asked him, \u201cLord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?\u201d 7\u00a0 He said to them, \u201cIt is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8\u00a0 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.\u201d 9\u00a0 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10\u00a0 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11\u00a0 and said, \u201cMen of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHO IS THIS?
