Ernest Dyck<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-8211-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/10-29-2023.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/10-29-2023.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/10-29-2023.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 Kings 17:1-7 (NASB)<\/strong><br \/>\n1\u00a0 Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, &#8220;As the LORD, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, surely there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.&#8221; 2\u00a0 The word of the LORD came to him, saying, 3\u00a0 &#8220;Go away from here and turn eastward, and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. 4\u00a0 &#8220;It shall be that you will drink of the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to provide for you there.&#8221; 5\u00a0 So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and lived by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. 6\u00a0 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he would drink from the brook.<\/p>\n<p><strong>James 5:17-18 (NASB)<\/strong><br \/>\nElijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for 3 years and 6 months.\u00a0 Then he prayed again,<br \/>\nand the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 Kings 16:34 (NASB<\/strong>)<br \/>\n34\u00a0 In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho; he laid its foundations with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which He spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 Kings 17: 7 (NASB)\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a07\u00a0 It happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there was no rain in the land.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 It does not matter where you come from in the Christian life.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 Great opportunities sometimes lead to hibernation for growth.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 The will of God is not always glamorous.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 The natural laws of man do not always bend around the church.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 Do not run when your brook runs dry.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You want me to do WHAT, Lord? 1 Kings 17:1-7 by Rev.
