2 Samuel 7: 1-26<\/strong><\/h2>\n

DREAM HOUSE<\/u><\/strong>
\n\u00a02 Samuel 7:1-7 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n1\u00a0 Now when the king lived in his house and the LORD had given him rest from all his surrounding enemies, 2\u00a0 the king said to Nathan the prophet, \u201cSee now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells in a tent.\u201d 3\u00a0 And Nathan said to the king, \u201cGo, do all that is in your heart, for the LORD is with you.\u201d 4\u00a0 But that same night the word of the LORD came to Nathan, 5\u00a0 \u201cGo and tell my servant David, \u2018Thus says the LORD: Would you build me a house to dwell in? 6\u00a0 I have not lived in a house since the day I brought up the people of Israel from Egypt to this day, but I have been moving about in a tent for my dwelling. 7\u00a0 In all places where I have moved with all the people of Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel, saying, \u201cWhy have you not built me a house of cedar?\u201d\u2019<\/p>\n

YOUR HOUSE<\/u><\/strong>
\n2 Samuel 7:8-11 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n8\u00a0 Now, therefore, thus you shall say to my servant David, \u2018Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people Israel. 9\u00a0 And I have been with you wherever you went and have cut off all your enemies from before you. And I will make for you a great name, like the name of the great ones of the earth. 10\u00a0 And I will appoint a place for my people Israel and will plant them, so that they may dwell in their own place and be disturbed no more. And violent men shall afflict them no more, as formerly,
\n11\u00a0 from the time that I appointed judges over my people Israel. And I will give you rest from all your enemies. Moreover, the LORD declares to you that the LORD will make you a house.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

MY HOUSE
\n<\/u>\u00a02 Samuel 7:12-17 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n12\u00a0 When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13\u00a0 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14\u00a0 I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men, 15\u00a0 but my steadfast love will not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you.
\n16\u00a0 And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me. Your throne shall be established forever.\u2019\u201d
\n17\u00a0 In accordance with all these words, and in accordance with all this vision, Nathan spoke to David.<\/p>\n

1 Chronicles 22:6-10 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n6\u00a0 Then he called for Solomon his son and charged him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Israel. 7\u00a0 David said to Solomon, \u201cMy son, I had it in my heart to build a house to the name of the LORD my God. 8\u00a0 But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, \u2018You have shed much blood and have waged great wars. You shall not build a house to my name, because you have shed so much blood before me on the earth. 9\u00a0 Behold, a son shall be born to you who shall be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies. For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quiet to Israel in his days. 10\u00a0 He shall build a house for my name. He shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish his royal throne in Israel forever.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jeremiah 23:5-6 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n5\u00a0 \u201cBehold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
\n6\u00a0 In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: \u2018The LORD is our righteousness.\u2019<\/p>\n

Isaiah 9:6-7 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n6\u00a0 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.\u00a0 7\u00a0 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.<\/p>\n

Luke 1:31-33 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n31\u00a0 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus.
\n32\u00a0 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33\u00a0 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.\u201d<\/p>\n

HONORED HOUSE
\n<\/u>2 Samuel 7:18-22 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n18\u00a0 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD and said, \u201cWho am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?
\n19\u00a0 And yet this was a small thing in your eyes, O Lord GOD. You have spoken also of your servant\u2019s house for a great while to come, and this is instruction for mankind, O Lord GOD!\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 20\u00a0 And what more can David say to you? For you know your servant, O Lord GOD!
\n21\u00a0 Because of your promise, and according to your own heart, you have brought about all this greatness, to make your servant know it.
\n22\u00a0 Therefore you are great, O LORD God. For there is none like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.<\/p>\n

Isaiah 44:6-8 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n6\u00a0 Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: \u201cI am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. 7\u00a0 Who is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and set it before me, since I appointed an ancient people. Let them declare what is to come, and what will happen. 8\u00a0 Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any.\u201d<\/p>\n

BLESSED HOUSE
\n<\/u>2 Samuel 7:23-26 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n23\u00a0 And who is like your people Israel, the one nation on earth whom God went to redeem to be his people, making himself a name and doing for them great and awesome things by driving out before your people, whom you redeemed for yourself from Egypt, a nation and its gods?
\n24\u00a0 And you established for yourself your people Israel to be your people forever. And you, O LORD, became their God. 25\u00a0 And now, O LORD God, confirm forever the word that you have spoken concerning your servant and concerning his house, and do as you have spoken. 26\u00a0 And your name will be magnified forever, saying, \u2018The LORD of hosts is God over Israel,\u2019 and the house of your servant David will be established before you.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n16\u00a0 Do you not know that you are God\u2019s temple and that God\u2019s Spirit dwells in you?
\n17\u00a0 If anyone destroys God\u2019s temple, God will destroy him. For God\u2019s temple is holy, and you are that temple.<\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 6:16 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n16\u00a0 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, \u201cI will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.<\/p>\n

1 Peter 2:4-5 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n4\u00a0 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,
\n5\u00a0 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
