1 John 4: 11-21<\/strong><\/h2>\n

SHOWCASING GOD
\n<\/u>1 John 4:11-12 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n11\u00a0 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
\n12\u00a0 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.<\/p>\n

John 13:34-35 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n34\u00a0 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
\n35\u00a0 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.\u201d<\/p>\n

Exodus 33:18-20 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n18\u00a0 Moses said, \u201cPlease show me your glory.\u201d
\n19\u00a0 And he said, \u201cI will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name \u2018The LORD.\u2019 And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

CONFESSING GOD
\n<\/u>1 John 4:13-15 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n13\u00a0 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
\n14\u00a0 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.
\n15\u00a0 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.<\/p>\n

Romans 8:9 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n9\u00a0 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.<\/p>\n

Romans 8:16 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n16\u00a0 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,<\/p>\n

ABIDING IN GOD
\n<\/u>1 John 4:16 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n16\u00a0 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.<\/p>\n

Romans 8:38-39 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n38\u00a0 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
\n39\u00a0 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.<\/p>\n

CONFIDENCE BEFORE GOD
\n<\/u>1 John 4:17-18 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n17\u00a0 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.
\n18\u00a0 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.<\/p>\n

Proverbs 1:7 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n7\u00a0 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.<\/p>\n

John 5:24 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n24\u00a0 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.<\/p>\n

Romans 8:1 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n1\u00a0 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n

LOVING BY GOD
\n<\/u>1 John 4:19-21 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n19\u00a0 We love because he first loved us.
\n20\u00a0 If anyone says, \u201cI love God,\u201d and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
\n21\u00a0 And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.<\/p>\n

Colossians 3:14 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n14\u00a0 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.<\/p>\n
