It was winter,<br \/>\n23\u00a0 and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon.<br \/>\n24\u00a0 So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, \u201cHow long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE EXPLANATION<br \/>\n<\/u>John 10:25-30 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n25\u00a0 Jesus answered them, \u201cI told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father\u2019s name bear witness about me, 26\u00a0 but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. 27\u00a0 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28\u00a0 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29\u00a0 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father\u2019s hand. 30\u00a0 I and the Father are one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hebrews 1:3 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n3\u00a0 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>THE EVIDENCE<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/u><strong>John 10:31-39 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n31\u00a0 The Jews picked up stones again to stone him.\u00a0 32\u00a0 Jesus answered them, \u201cI have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?\u201d 33\u00a0 The Jews answered him, \u201cIt is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.\u201d 34\u00a0 Jesus answered them, \u201cIs it not written in your Law, \u2018I said, you are gods\u2019? 35\u00a0 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came\u2014and Scripture cannot be broken\u2014 36\u00a0 do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, \u2018You are blaspheming,\u2019 because I said, \u2018I am the Son of God\u2019? 37\u00a0 If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; 38\u00a0 but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.\u201d 39\u00a0 Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 82:6-7 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n6\u00a0 I said, \u201cYou are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;<br \/>\n7\u00a0 nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE ENCOURAGEMENT<br \/>\n<\/u>John 10:40-42 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n40\u00a0 He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained.<br \/>\n41\u00a0 And many came to him. And they said, \u201cJohn did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.\u201d<br \/>\n42\u00a0 And many believed in him there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 17:18-21 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n18\u00a0 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19\u00a0 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20\u00a0 \u201cI do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21\u00a0 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to John (Sermon series) \u00a0by Rev.
