Richard Jones<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>SIGNS OF THE SON<\/u><\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>John 6: 1-21<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-7154-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/03-06-2022-p2.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/03-06-2022-p2.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/03-06-2022-p2.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0A TREMENDOUS PLAN<br \/>\n<\/u>John 6:1-7 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n1\u00a0 After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias. 2\u00a0 And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick. 3\u00a0 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4\u00a0 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. 5\u00a0 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, \u201cWhere are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?\u201d 6\u00a0 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.<br \/>\n7\u00a0 Philip answered him, \u201cTwo hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew 14:13-16 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n13\u00a0 Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by himself. But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a014\u00a0 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. 15\u00a0 Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, \u201cThis is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.\u201d 16\u00a0 But Jesus said, \u201cThey need not go away; you give them something to eat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>A TREMENDOUS PROVISION<\/u> <u><br \/>\n<\/u>John 6:8-11 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n8\u00a0 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter\u2019s brother, said to him, 9\u00a0 \u201cThere is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?\u201d 10\u00a0 Jesus said, \u201cHave the people sit down.\u201d Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number.\u00a0\u00a0 11\u00a0 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark 6:39-42 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n39\u00a0 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40\u00a0 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. 41\u00a0 And taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all. 42\u00a0 And they all ate and were satisfied.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>A TREMENDOUS POPULARITY<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/u><strong>John 6:12-15 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n12\u00a0 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, \u201cGather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.\u201d 13\u00a0 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten. 14\u00a0 When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, \u201cThis is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!\u201d 15\u00a0 Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deuteronomy 18:15 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n15\u00a0 \u201cThe LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers\u2014it is to him you shall listen\u2014<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark 6:45-47 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n45\u00a0 Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd. 46\u00a0 And after he had taken leave of them, he went up on the mountain to pray. 47\u00a0 And when evening came, the boat was out on the sea, and he was alone on the land.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><strong><u>\u00a0A TREMENDOUS PERIL<\/u><\/strong><\/b><br \/>\n<b>John 6:16-21 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were frightened.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But he said to them, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cIt is I; do not be afraid.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">21 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then they were glad to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark 6:47-52 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n47\u00a0 And when evening came, the boat was out on the sea, and he was alone on the land.<br \/>\n48\u00a0 And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them, 49\u00a0 but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, 50\u00a0 for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, \u201cTake heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.\u201d 51\u00a0 And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased.
