Richard Jones<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>TWICE BORN<\/u><\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>John 3: 1-21<\/strong><\/h2>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-7110-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/02-06-2022.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/02-06-2022.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/02-06-2022.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>THE MAN THAT CAME BY NIGHT<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/u><strong>John 3:1-8<\/strong><br \/>\n1\u00a0 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2\u00a0 This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, \u201cRabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.\u201d 3\u00a0 Jesus answered him, \u201cTruly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.\u201d4\u00a0 Nicodemus said to him, \u201cHow can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother\u2019s womb and be born?\u201d 5\u00a0 Jesus answered, \u201cTruly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6\u00a0 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7\u00a0 Do not marvel that I said to you, \u2018You must be born again.\u2019 8\u00a0 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ezekiel 36:24-28 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n24\u00a0 I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. 25\u00a0 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26\u00a0 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27\u00a0 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. 28\u00a0 You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Titus 3:4-5 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n4\u00a0 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,<br \/>\n5\u00a0 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n17\u00a0 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1 Peter 1:3-4 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n3\u00a0 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,<br \/>\n4\u00a0 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>THE TRUTH THAT CAME IN PICTURE<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/u><strong>John 3:9-15 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n9\u00a0 Nicodemus said to him, \u201cHow can these things be?\u201d 10\u00a0 Jesus answered him, \u201cAre you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?<br \/>\n11\u00a0 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. 12\u00a0 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13\u00a0 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. 14\u00a0 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15\u00a0 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numbers 21:5-9 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n5\u00a0 And the people spoke against God and against Moses, \u201cWhy have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food.\u201d 6\u00a0 Then the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died. 7\u00a0 And the people came to Moses and said, \u201cWe have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD and against you. Pray to the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us.\u201d So Moses prayed for the people. 8\u00a0 And the LORD said to Moses, \u201cMake a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.\u201d 9\u00a0 So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Galatians 3:13 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n13\u00a0 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us\u2014for it is written, \u201cCursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree\u201d\u2014<\/p>\n<p><strong>2 Corinthians 5:21 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n21\u00a0 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE LOVE THAT CAME IN PERSON<\/u><u><br \/>\n<\/u>John 3:16-17 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n16\u00a0 \u201cFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.<br \/>\n17\u00a0 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:12 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n12\u00a0 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE DIVIDE THAT CAME IN PEOPLE<\/u> <u><br \/>\n<\/u>John 3:18-21 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n18\u00a0 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19\u00a0 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20\u00a0 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21\u00a0 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 3:36 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n36\u00a0 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to John (Sermon series) \u00a0by Rev.
