My hour has not yet come.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5\u00a0 His mother said to the servants, \u201cDo whatever he tells you.\u201d 6\u00a0 Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. 7\u00a0 Jesus said to the servants, \u201cFill the jars with water.\u201d And they filled them up to the brim. 8\u00a0 And he said to them, \u201cNow draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.\u201d So they took it. 9\u00a0 When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom 10\u00a0 and said to him, \u201cEveryone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.\u201d 11\u00a0 This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>REVERENCE FOR HIS HOUSE<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/u><u><br \/>\n<\/u><strong>John 2:12-17 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n12\u00a0 After this he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days. 13\u00a0 The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14\u00a0 In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there. 15\u00a0 And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. 16\u00a0 And he told those who sold the pigeons, \u201cTake these things away; do not make my Father\u2019s house a house of trade.\u201d 17\u00a0 His disciples remembered that it was written, \u201cZeal for your house will consume me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Malachi 3:1-3 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n1\u00a0 \u201cBehold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the LORD of hosts. 2\u00a0 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner\u2019s fire and like fullers\u2019 soap. 3\u00a0 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>RESURRECTION OF HIS BODY<\/u><\/strong><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u><strong>John 2:18-22 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n18\u00a0 So the Jews said to him, \u201cWhat sign do you show us for doing these things?\u201d 19\u00a0 Jesus answered them, \u201cDestroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.\u201d<br \/>\n20\u00a0 The Jews then said, \u201cIt has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?\u201d<br \/>\n21\u00a0 But he was speaking about the temple of his body.<br \/>\n22\u00a0 When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hebrews 10:11-18 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n11\u00a0 And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12\u00a0 But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, 13\u00a0 waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. 14\u00a0 For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. 15\u00a0 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, 16\u00a0 \u201cThis is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,\u201d 17\u00a0 then he adds, \u201cI will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.\u201d 18\u00a0 Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>REALITY IN HIS UNDERSTANDING<\/u><\/strong><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u><strong>John 2:23-25 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n23\u00a0 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing.<br \/>\n24\u00a0 But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people<br \/>\n25\u00a0 and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to John (Sermon series) \u00a0by Rev.
