Richard Jones<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><u>WONDERFUL WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">January 09, 2022<\/h3>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-7070-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/01-09-2022.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/01-09-2022.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/01-09-2022.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:1-18 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n1\u00a0 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2\u00a0 He was in the beginning with God. 3\u00a0 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4\u00a0 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5\u00a0 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 6\u00a0 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7\u00a0 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8\u00a0 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. 9\u00a0 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10\u00a0 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11\u00a0 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12\u00a0 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13\u00a0 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14\u00a0 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15\u00a0 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, \u201cThis was he of whom I said, \u2018He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.\u2019\u201d) 16\u00a0 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17\u00a0 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18\u00a0 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father\u2019s side, he has made him known.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>PURPOSE:<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>John 20:30-31 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n30\u00a0 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;<br \/>\n31\u00a0 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE ETERNAL WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u><b><\/b><\/u><strong>John 1:1-2 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n1\u00a0 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.<br \/>\n2\u00a0 He was in the beginning with God.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hebrews 1:1-3 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n1\u00a0 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,<br \/>\n2\u00a0 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.<br \/>\n3\u00a0 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE CREATIVE WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u><b><\/b><\/u><strong>John 1:3 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n3\u00a0 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colossians 1:16-17 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n16\u00a0 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities\u2014all things were created through him and for him.<br \/>\n17\u00a0 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE INCARNATE WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:4-5 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n4\u00a0 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5\u00a0 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:14 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n14\u00a0 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE FORERUNNER OF THE WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:6-9 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n6\u00a0 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7\u00a0 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8\u00a0 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. 9\u00a0 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:15 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n15\u00a0 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, \u201cThis was he of whom I said, \u2018He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.\u2019\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE UNRECOGNIZED WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:10-11 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n10\u00a0 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.<br \/>\n11\u00a0 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE SAVING WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:12-13 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n12\u00a0 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13\u00a0 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>THE DECLARATIVE WORD<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:16-18 (ESV)<\/strong><br \/>\n16\u00a0 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17\u00a0 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.<br \/>\n18\u00a0 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father\u2019s side, he has made him known.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ACCORDING TO JOHN Sermon Series by Rev.
