Richard Jones<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">January 02, 2022<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-7061-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/01-02-2022.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/01-02-2022.mp3\">http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/01-02-2022.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>FACING THE NEW<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Deuteronomy 29:10-15 (ESV)<br \/>\n10\u00a0 \u201cYou are standing today all of you before the LORD your God: the heads of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, all the men of Israel, 11\u00a0 your little ones, your wives, and the sojourner who is in your camp, from the one who chops your wood to the one who draws your water, 12\u00a0 so that you may enter into the sworn covenant of the LORD your God, which the LORD your God is making with you today, 13\u00a0 that he may establish you today as his people, and that he may be your God, as he promised you, and as he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. 14\u00a0 It is not with you alone that I am making this sworn covenant, 15\u00a0 but with whoever is standing here with us today before the LORD our God, and with whoever is not here with us today.<\/p>\n<p>Deuteronomy 30:11-16 (ESV)<br \/>\n11\u00a0 \u201cFor this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 12\u00a0 It is not in heaven, that you should say, \u2018Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?\u2019 13\u00a0 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, \u2018Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?\u2019 14\u00a0 But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it. 15\u00a0 \u201cSee, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil. 16\u00a0 If you obey the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you today, by loving the LORD your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><u>Applications&#8230;Obey God By:<\/u><\/strong><u><b><\/b><\/u><\/h2>\n<p><strong><u>RECOGNIZING HIS AUTHORITY<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Psalm 33:11-12 (ESV)<br \/>\n11\u00a0 The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.<br \/>\n12\u00a0 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>HONORING HIS WORD<\/u><\/strong> <u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Psalm 19:7-11 (ESV)<br \/>\n7\u00a0 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; 8\u00a0 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9\u00a0 the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the LORD are true, and righteous altogether. 10\u00a0 More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb. 11\u00a0 Moreover, by them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>COMMITTING TO FAMILY<\/u><\/strong><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Luke 2:48-52 (ESV)<br \/>\n48\u00a0 And when his parents saw him, they were astonished. And his mother said to him, \u201cSon, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been searching for you in great distress.\u201d 49\u00a0 And he said to them, \u201cWhy were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father\u2019s house?\u201d 50\u00a0 And they did not understand the saying that he spoke to them. 51\u00a0 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them.
