In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time he has made glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. 2\u00a0\u00a0 The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. 3\u00a0 You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil. 4\u00a0 For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian. 5\u00a0 For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire. 6\u00a0 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7\u00a0 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 36\u00a0 Then Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went home and lived at Nineveh.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PROPHETIC PROMISE<\/u><\/strong><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u>6\u00a0 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.<br \/>\n7\u00a0 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.<\/p>\n<p>Micah 4:1-4<br \/>\n1\u00a0 It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, 2\u00a0 and many nations shall come, and say: \u201cCome, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.\u201d For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 3\u00a0 He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore; 4\u00a0 but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.<\/p>\n<p>Isaiah 11:6-9<br \/>\n6\u00a0 The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. 7\u00a0 The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. 8\u00a0 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder\u2019s den. 9\u00a0 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremiah 23:5-6<br \/>\n5\u00a0 \u201cBehold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.<br \/>\n6\u00a0 In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely.
