Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I tell you that it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom than for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John 21:25<br \/>\n25\u00a0 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>DEMONSTRATION OF SOVEREIGNTY<\/u><\/strong><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u>25 At that time Jesus declared, \u201cI thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.<\/p>\n<p>James 4:6<br \/>\n6\u00a0 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, \u201cGod opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthew 18:1-3<br \/>\n1\u00a0 At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, \u201cWho is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?\u201d<br \/>\n2\u00a0 And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them<br \/>\n3\u00a0 and said, \u201cTruly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.<\/p>\n<p>Colossians 1:15<br \/>\n15\u00a0 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.<\/p>\n<p>John 1:12<br \/>\n12\u00a0 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,<\/p>\n<p>John 1:18<br \/>\n18\u00a0 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father\u2019s side, he has made him known.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>INVITATION TO GRACE<\/u><\/strong><u><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/u>28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthew 23:1-4<br \/>\n1\u00a0 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 2\u00a0 \u201cThe scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses\u2019 seat, 3\u00a0 so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. 4\u00a0 They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people\u2019s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger.<\/p>\n<p>Romans 7:15-19<br \/>\n15\u00a0 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 16\u00a0 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17\u00a0 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18\u00a0 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19\u00a0 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing.<\/p>\n<p>Romans 7:24<br \/>\n24\u00a0 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?<\/p>\n<p>Romans 8:1-2<br \/>\n1\u00a0 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.<br \/>\n2\u00a0 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.<\/p>\n<p>Romans 8:4<br \/>\n4\u00a0 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.<\/p>\n<p>Colossians 2:6-7<br \/>\n6\u00a0 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,<br \/>\n7\u00a0 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p>Galatians 5:16<br \/>\n16\u00a0 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lighten the Load Matthew 11:20-30 Sermon by Rev.
