Richard Jones<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/rec-02-21-21.mp3\">rec 02-21-21<\/a><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Jacob&#8217;s Journey Series:<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><strong>A Meeting, Mistakes and a Memorial<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h1><strong>Genesis Chapter 33<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>SCHEMING INSTEAD OF TRUSTING\u00a0 \u00a0 Genesis 33: 1-3<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And Jacob lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, Esau was coming, and four hundred men with him. So he divided the children among Leah and Rachel and the two female servants. <strong>2 <\/strong>And he put the servants with their children in front, then Leah with her children, and Rachel and Joseph last of all. <strong>3 <\/strong>He himself went on before them, bowing himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>PLEADING INSTEAD OF WITNESSING Genesis 33: 4-11<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept. <strong>5 <\/strong>And when Esau lifted up his eyes and saw the women and children, he said, \u201cWho are these with you?\u201d Jacob said, \u201cThe children whom God has graciously given your servant.\u201d <strong>6 <\/strong>Then the servants drew near, they and their children, and bowed down. <strong>7 <\/strong>Leah likewise and her children drew near and bowed down. And last Joseph and Rachel drew near, and they bowed down. <strong>8 <\/strong>Esau said, \u201cWhat do you mean by all this company that I met?\u201d Jacob answered, \u201cTo find favor in the sight of my lord.\u201d <strong>9 <\/strong>But Esau said, \u201cI have enough, my brother; keep what you have for yourself.\u201d <strong>10 <\/strong>Jacob said, \u201cNo, please, if I have found favor in your sight, then accept my present from my hand. For I have seen your face, which is like seeing the face of God, and you have accepted me. <strong>11 <\/strong>Please accept my blessing that is brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.\u201d Thus he\u00a0urged him, and he took it.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>PROMISING INSTEAD OF PERFORMING\u00a0 \u00a0 Genesis 33: 12-16<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Then Esau said, \u201cLet us journey on our way, and I will go ahead of you.\u201d <strong>13 <\/strong>But Jacob said to him, \u201cMy lord knows that the children are frail, and that the nursing flocks and herds are a care to me. If they are driven hard for one day, all the flocks will die. <strong>14 <\/strong>Let my lord pass on ahead of his servant, and I will lead on slowly, at the pace of the livestock that are ahead of me and at the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.\u201d <strong>15 <\/strong>So Esau said, \u201cLet me leave with you some of the people who are with me.\u201d But he said, \u201cWhat need is there? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.\u201d <strong>16 <\/strong>So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>DELAYING INSTEAD OF OBEYING\u00a0 \u00a0 Genesis 33: 17-20<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">But Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built himself a house and made booths for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.<strong>18 <\/strong>And Jacob came safely to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, on his way from Paddan-aram, and he camped before the city. <strong>19 <\/strong>And from the sons of Hamor, Shechem&#8217;s father, he bought for a hundred pieces of money the piece of land on which he had pitched his tent. <strong>20 <\/strong>There he erected an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Genesis 12: 5-7<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother&#8217;s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan, <strong>6 <\/strong>Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>7 <\/strong>Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, \u201cTo your offspring I will give this land.\u201d So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 Timothy 2: 13<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">if we are faithless,\u00a0he remains faithful\u201d\u201dfor he cannot deny himself.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Philippians 1: 6<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon By Rev.
