Richard Jones<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/rec-07-19-20.mp3\">rec 07-19-20<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>CALLED DURING CRISIS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>Isaiah 6: 1-13<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<p><strong>THE CALL OF ISAIAH\u00a0\u00a0 Isaiah 6: 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>In the year that\u00a0King Uzziah died I\u00a0saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train\u00a0of his robe filled the temple.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">THE CONDITION OF ISAIAH\u00a0\u00a0 Isaiah 6: 2-5<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Above him stood the seraphim. Each had\u00a0six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.\u00a0<strong><sup>3\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And one called to another and said: \u201cHoly, holy, holy is the\u00a0Lord\u00a0of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!\u201d <strong><sup>4\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And\u00a0the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and\u00a0the house was filled with smoke.\u00a0<strong><sup>5\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And I said: \u201cWoe is me!\u00a0For I am lost;\u00a0for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the\u00a0King, the\u00a0Lord\u00a0of hosts!\u201d<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">THE CLEANSING OF ISAIAH\u00a0\u00a0 Isaiah 6: 6-7<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.\u00a0<strong><sup>7\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>And he\u00a0touched my mouth and said: \u201cBehold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.\u201d<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">THE COMMISSION OF ISAIAH\u00a0\u00a0 Isaiah 6: 8-10<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sup>\u00a0<\/sup>And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, \u201cWhom shall I send, and who will go for\u00a0us?\u201d Then I said, \u201cHere I am! Send me.\u201d\u00a0<sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>And he said, \u201cGo, and say to this people: \u201c\u201d\u02dcKeep on hearing,\u00a0but do not understand; keep on seeing,\u00a0but do not perceive.\u201d\u2122<sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>Make the heart of this people\u00a0dull, and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts,\u00a0and turn and be healed.\u201d<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Isaiah 55: 6-11<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"poetry top-1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span id=\"en-ESV-18747\" class=\"text Isa-55-6\">\u201cSeek the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span> while he may be found;<\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Isa-55-6\">call upon him while he is near;<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span id=\"en-ESV-18748\" class=\"text Isa-55-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>let the wicked forsake his way,<\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"indent-1-breaks\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"text Isa-55-7\">and the unrighteous man his thoughts;<\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"text Isa-55-7\">let him return to the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>, that he may have compassion on him,<\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Isa-55-7\">and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. <\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-18749\" class=\"text Isa-55-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>For my thoughts are not your thoughts, <\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Isa-55-8\">neither are your ways my ways, declares the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>. <\/span><\/span><span id=\"en-ESV-18750\" class=\"text Isa-55-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>For as the heavens are higher than the earth, <\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Isa-55-9\">so are my ways higher than your way s<\/span><\/span><span class=\"indent-1\"><span class=\"text Isa-55-9\">and my thoughts than your thoughts. <\/span><\/span><sup class=\"versenum\">1<\/sup><sup class=\"versenum\">0\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cFor as the rain and the snow come down from heaven <span class=\"text Isa-55-10\">and do not return there but water the earth, <\/span>making it bring forth and sprout, <span class=\"text Isa-55-10\">giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, <\/span><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup>so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; <span class=\"text Isa-55-11\">it shall not return to me empty, <\/span>but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, <span class=\"text Isa-55-11\">and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ezekiel 33: 10-11<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span class=\"text Ezek-33-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">\u00a0<\/sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cAnd you,\u00a0son of man, say to the house of Israel, Thus have you said: \u201d\u02dcSurely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and\u00a0we rot away because of them.\u00a0How then can we live?\u201d\u2122<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-ESV-21292\" class=\"text Ezek-33-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup>Say to them,\u00a0As I live, declares the Lord\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">God<\/span>,\u00a0I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live;\u00a0turn back, turn back from your evil ways,\u00a0for why will you die, O house of Israel?<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">THE CONCERN OF ISAIAH\u00a0\u00a0 Isaiah 6: 11-12<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Then I said,\u00a0\u201cHow long, O Lord?\u201d And he said: \u201cUntil\u00a0cities lie waste\u00a0without inhabitant,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">and houses without people,\u00a0and the land is a desolate waste, <strong><sup>12\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>and the\u00a0Lord\u00a0removes people far away,\u00a0and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">THE CERTAINTY OF ISAIAH\u00a0\u00a0 Isaiah 6: 13<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And though a tenth remain in it,\u00a0it will be burned\u00a0again, like a terebinth or an oak,\u00a0whose stump\u00a0remains\u00a0when it is felled.\u201d The holy seed\u00a0is its stump.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(The application is that God has called us also, during a time of national crises, to share His message with our generation.)<\/span><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Rev.
