Richard Jones<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/rec-03-01-2020.mp3\">rec 03-01-2020<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>A LETTER FROM PETER (Series)<\/h1>\n<h2><strong>&#8220;A Living Hope&#8221; <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1 Peter 1: 1-12<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>PRESERVED BY PROVIDENCE \u00a0<\/strong> <strong>1 Peter 1: 1-5<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">To those who are elect exiles of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God&#8217;s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hebrews 13: 14<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ephesians 1: 3-6<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 Corinthians 2: 9<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">But, as it is written, \u201cWhat no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined,<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">what God has prepared for those who love him\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Romans 8: 22-23 <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PROVE N BY PRESSURE \u00a0 1 Peter 1:6-9<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith\u201d\u201dmore precious than gold that perishes though It is tested by fire\u201d\u201dmay be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 Corinthians 4: 16-18 <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. 17 For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 18 as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">John 20: 29<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Jesus said to him, \u201cHave you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PREDICTED BY PROPHETS \u00a0\u00a0 1 Peter 1: 10-12<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ephesians 3: 8-10<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000;\">To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, 10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Rev.
