Richard Jones<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/rec0210-112211.mp3\">rec0210-112211<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>Is There Mercy Still For Me?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>2 Samuel Chapter 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>CONSIDERING THE OUTCAST<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0<b>2 Samuel 9:1-4 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And David said, \u201cIs there still anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan\u201d\u2122s sake?\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David. And the king said to him, \u201cAre you Ziba?\u201d And he said, \u201cI am your servant.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the king said, \u201cIs there not still someone of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God to him?\u201d Ziba said to the king, \u201cThere is still a son of Jonathan; he is crippled in his feet.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The king said to him, \u201cWhere is he?\u201d And Ziba said to the king, \u201cHe is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, at Lo-debar.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>CALLING THE OUTCAST<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>2 Samuel 9:5-8 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then King David sent and brought him from the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, at Lo-debar.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, son of Saul, came to David and fell on his face and paid homage. And David said, \u201cMephibosheth!\u201d And he answered, \u201cBehold, I am your servant.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And David said to him, \u201cDo not fear, for I will show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan, and I will restore to you all the land of Saul your father, and you shall eat at my table always.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he paid homage and said, \u201cWhat is your servant, that you should show regard for a dead dog such as I?\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<strong>CHANGING THE OUTCAST<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>2 Samuel 9:9-13 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then the king called Ziba, Saul\u201d\u2122s servant, and said to him, \u201cAll that belonged to Saul and to all his house I have given to your master\u201d\u2122s grandson.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And you and your sons and your servants shall till the land for him and shall bring in the produce, that your master\u201d\u2122s grandson may have bread to eat. But Mephibosheth your master\u201d\u2122s grandson shall always eat at my table.\u201d Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then Ziba said to the king, \u201cAccording to all that my lord the king commands his servant, so will your servant do.\u201d So Mephibosheth ate at David\u201d\u2122s table, like one of the king\u201d\u2122s sons.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. And all who lived in Ziba\u201d\u2122s house became Mephibosheth\u201d\u2122s servants.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, for he ate always at the king\u201d\u2122s table. Now he was lame in both his feet.<\/p>\n<p><b>Ephesians 2:1-7 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0And you were dead in the trespasses and sins<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience\u201d\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ\u201d\u201dby grace you have been saved\u201d\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Titus 3:3-7 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon by\u00a0 Rev.
