Richard Jones<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/rec0127-113114.mp3\">rec0127-113114<\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><strong>THE GOSPEL OF MARK<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>&#8220;But Sunday&#8217;s Coming&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Mark 15: 40- 16: 20<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><strong>THE WOMEN WHO WERE AT THE CROSS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Mark 15:40-41 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">40 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0There were also women looking on from a distance, among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">41 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0When he was in Galilee, they followed him and ministered to him, and there were also many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>THE FRIENDS WHO HAD BEEN SILENT<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Mark 15:42-47 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">42 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0And when evening had come, since it was the day of Preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">43 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Joseph of Arimathea, a respected member of the council, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, took courage and went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">44 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Pilate was surprised to hear that he should have already died. And summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he was already dead.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">45 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when he learned from the centurion that he was dead, he granted the corpse to Joseph.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">46 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And Joseph bought a linen shroud, and taking him down, wrapped him in the linen shroud and laid him in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. And he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">47 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>THE STRANGER WHO HAD AN ANNOUNCEMENT<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Mark 16:1-8 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they were saying to one another, \u201cWho will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back\u201d\u201dit was very large.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he said to them, \u201cDo not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<strong>THE DISCIPLES WHO WERE BEWILDERED<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Mark 16:9-14 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup> <span class=\"ind\">\u00a0[[Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0After these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p><strong>THE WORLD WHO WOULD HEAR<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><b>Mark 16:15-20 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he said to them, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cGo into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.\u201d<\/span> <span class=\"ind\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.]]<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon Series by Rev.
