THE GROUND OF UNITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ephesians 4:4-6 (ESV) <\/b>
\n4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0There is one body and one Spirit\u201d\u201djust as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call\u201d\u201d
\n5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
\n6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

THE GIFTS OF UNITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ephesians 4:7-11 (ESV) <\/b>
\n7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ\u201d\u2122s gift.
\n8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Therefore it says, \u201cWhen he ascended on high he led a host of captives,<\/span> and he gave gifts to men.\u201d<\/span>
\n9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0(In saying, \u201cHe ascended,\u201d what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth?
\n10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)\u00a0<\/span>11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, <\/span><\/p>\n

2 Corinthians 12:12 (ESV) <\/b>
\n12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The signs of a true apostle were performed among you with utmost patience, with signs and wonders and mighty works.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 14:29-32 (ESV) <\/b>
\n29 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.
\n30 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent.
\n31 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged,
\n32 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.<\/p>\n

Ephesians 2:19-20 (ESV) <\/b>
\n19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
\n20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,<\/p>\n

THE GOAL OF UNITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ephesians 4:12-13 (ESV) <\/b>
\n12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,
\n13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,<\/p>\n

Ephesians 3:14-19 (ESV) <\/b>
\n14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
\n15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
\n16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
\n17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith\u201d\u201dthat you, being rooted and grounded in love,
\n18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
\n19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. <\/span><\/p>\n
