Richard Jones<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/rec0408-112213.mp3\">rec0408-112213<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>An Interview with Nicodemus <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>(Part 1)<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>John 3:1-15<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>John 3:1-15 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, \u201cRabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Jesus answered him, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cTruly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Nicodemus said to him, \u201cHow can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother\u201d\u2122s womb and be born?\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Jesus answered, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cTruly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Do not marvel that I said to you, \u201d\u02dcYou must be born again.\u201d\u2122<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Nicodemus said to him, \u201cHow can these things be?\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Jesus answered him, <span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cAre you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things?<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>1 Corinthians 2:14 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>1 Peter 1:3 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Titus 3:4-5 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Ezekiel 36:24-28 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">25 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">26 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">27 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">28 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Numbers 21:4-9 (ESV) <\/b><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0From Mount Hor they set out by the way to the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom. And the people became impatient on the way.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the people spoke against God and against Moses, \u201cWhy have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and we loathe this worthless food.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then the <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">LORD<\/span> sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people, so that many people of Israel died.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the people came to Moses and said, \u201cWe have sinned, for we have spoken against the <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">LORD<\/span> and against you. Pray to the <span style=\"font-variant: small-caps;\">LORD<\/span>, that he take away the serpents from us.\u201d So Moses prayed for the people.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the LORD said to Moses, \u201cMake a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.\u201d<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sermon by Rev.
