In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time he has made glorious the way of the sea, the land beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations. <\/span><span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0 The people who walked in darkness <span class=\"poetry2\">have seen a great light;<\/span> those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, <span class=\"poetry2\">on them has light shone.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0You have multiplied the nation; <span class=\"poetry2\">you have increased its joy;<\/span> they rejoice before you <span class=\"poetry2\">as with joy at the harvest,<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">as they are glad when they divide the spoil.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For the yoke of his burden, <span class=\"poetry2\">and the staff for his shoulder,<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">the rod of his oppressor,<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">you have broken as on the day of Midian.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult <span class=\"poetry2\">and every garment rolled in blood<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">will be burned as fuel for the fire.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For to us a child is born, <span class=\"poetry2\">to us a son is given;<\/span> and the government shall be upon his shoulder, <span class=\"poetry2\">and his name shall be called<\/span> Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, <span class=\"poetry2\">Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Of the increase of his government and of peace <span class=\"poetry2\">there will be no end,<\/span> on the throne of David and over his kingdom, <span class=\"poetry2\">to establish it and to uphold it<\/span> with justice and with righteousness <span class=\"poetry2\">from this time forth and forevermore.<\/span> The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew 4:12-16 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">12 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Now when he heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew into Galilee.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And leaving Nazareth he went and lived in Capernaum by the sea, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0\u201cThe land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, <span class=\"poetry2\">the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles\u201d\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0the people dwelling in darkness <span class=\"poetry2\">have seen a great light,<\/span> and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, <span class=\"poetry2\">on them a light has dawned.\u201d<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hebrews 4:15 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Revelation 19:11-16 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">11 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Revelation 20:4-6 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Micah 4:1-4 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"poetry1\">\u00a0It shall come to pass in the latter days<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">that the mountain of the house of the LORD<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\">shall be established as the highest of the mountains,<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\">and it shall be lifted up above the hills;<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\">and peoples shall flow to it,<\/span> <span class=\"poetry2\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and many nations shall come, and say: <span class=\"poetry1\">\u201cCome, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,<\/span> to the house of the God of Jacob, <span class=\"poetry1\">that he may teach us his ways<\/span> and that we may walk in his paths.\u201d <span class=\"poetry1\">For out of Zion shall go forth the law,<\/span> and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one shall make them afraid, for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Psalm 33:11 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The counsel of the LORD stands forever, <span class=\"poetry2\">the plans of his heart to all generations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 3:16 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">16 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">\u201cFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 1:4 (ESV) <\/strong><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0In him was life, and the life was the light of men.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"poetry1\"> <strong>John 10:10 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">10\u00a0<\/span><\/sup><span class=\"JesusWords\">I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Colossians 3:15 (ESV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: small;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.
