POWERFUL EVANGELISM<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Acts 8:4-8 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.
\n5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.
\n6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip when they heard him and saw the signs that he did.
\n7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed.
\n8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So there was much joy in that city. <\/span><\/p>\n

Acts 1:8 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Acts 8:14-17 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John,
\n15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,
\n16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0for he had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
\n17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n

Matthew 16:13-20 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, \u201cWho do people say that the Son of Man is?\u201d<\/span>
\n14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they said, \u201cSome say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.\u201d

\n19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.\u201d<\/span>

\n<\/strong>25 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.<\/p>\n

POINTED APPLICATION<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. The gospel is for people as they are.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

2. The church is for people as they are.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Acts 9:31 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>31 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.<\/p>\n
