Behold Your Mother<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h2>\n

John 19:25-27<\/strong><\/p>\n

John 19:25-27 (ESV)<\/strong>
\n25 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother\u201d\u2122s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
\n26 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, \u201cWoman, behold, your son!\u201d<\/span>
\n27 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then he said to the disciple, \u201cBehold, your mother!\u201d<\/span> And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. <\/span><\/p>\n

AN ORDINARY WOMAN<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Luke 1:46-47 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>46 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And Mary said, <\/span>\u201cMy soul magnifies the Lord,<\/span>
\n47 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, <\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew 13:53-58 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>53 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when Jesus had finished these parables, he went away from there,
\n54 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and coming to his hometown he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, \u201cWhere did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works?
\n55 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Is not this the carpenter\u201d\u2122s son? Is not his mother called Mary? And are not his brothers James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?
\n56 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?\u201d
\n57 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, \u201cA prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.\u201d<\/span>

AN EXTRAORDINARY ROLE<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Mark 3:20-21 (ESV)
\n<\/strong>20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Then he went home, and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat.
\n21 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, \u201cHe is out of his mind.\u201d<\/p>\n
