Matthew 7:9-12 (NASB)
\n<\/strong>9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0“<\/span>Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?<\/span>
\n10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0“<\/span>Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?<\/span>

I. <\/b>A Hypothetical Response When Confronted With Giving <\/b><\/u><\/h3>\n

Matthew 7:9-10 (NASB) <\/b> 9 \u00a0“Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 \u00a0“Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?<\/p>\n

1. The Giver<\/h3>\n

Irresponsible Provider<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lesson: Learn to be serious about our position (who we are).<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

2. The Gift<\/h3>\n

Useless Provision<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lesson: Pay attention to what we provide for people.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

3. The Receiver<\/h3>\n

Represents a person who has a real need<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lesson: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal someone who has a real need.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

II. <\/b>An Authentic Response When Confronted With Giving <\/b><\/u><\/h3>\n

Give like God gives…sacrificially.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Motivation: LOVE<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Lessons To Be Learned About Giving<\/u><\/b><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

1. Give when you know your gift will meet a need.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2. Give with a heavenly mind-set.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. Give with a proper motive, manner, and means.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
