{"id":2595,"date":"2016-09-18T16:10:41","date_gmt":"2016-09-18T20:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/?p=2595"},"modified":"2016-09-18T16:10:41","modified_gmt":"2016-09-18T20:10:41","slug":"the-depth-of-gods-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/?p=2595","title":{"rendered":"The Depth of God&#8217;s Love"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Message by Dr. Milton Perry<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/rec0918-111858.mp3\">rec0918-111858<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>The Depth of God&#8217;s Love<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Luke 15:11-24<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Luke 15:11-24 (NIV)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Jesus continued: <span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;There was a man who had two sons.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">The younger one said to his father, &#8216;Father, give me my share of the estate.&#8217; So he divided his property between them.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;When he came to his senses, he said, &#8216;How many of my father&#8217;s hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.&#8217;<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">So he got up and went to his father. <\/span><span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">21 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;The son said to him, &#8216;Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.&#8217;<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;But the father said to his servants, &#8216;Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let&#8217;s have a feast and celebrate.<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.&#8217; So they began to celebrate.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">1. God regrets our rebellion.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>The Spirit is grieved when we sin.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">2. God loves us even in the midst of our rebellion.<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>God&#8217;s love for us is <strong>unaltered<\/strong>, but He will\u00a0let us freely\u00a0face the consequences of our choices.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">3.
