(Absent Without Leave)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Message by Dr. David Drake<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/rec0508-102510.mp3\">rec0508-102510<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">A.W.O.L.<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">(Absent Without Leave)<\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Various Texts<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>M.O.M. \/ M.I.A <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Today&#8217;s <\/b><b>Mother \u201d\u00a6 Missing In <\/b><b>Action<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>George <\/b><b>Barna<\/b><b>: \u201c3 out of 10 mothers ages 23-41 are not married.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>An even greater alarm is moms ages 18-22. Four out of five are not married.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>\u201cThe commitment among younger mothers in America is failing.<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>53% of younger mothers are less likely to commit to Christianity\u00a0or to\u00a0any expression of traditional faith.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8220;A.W.O.L&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>A \u201d\u00a6 \u201cAlive\u201d \u201d\u00a6 this speaks of Salvation which is revealed by GRACE<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>John 8:1-11 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and <i>began<\/i> to teach them.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The scribes and the Pharisees *brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center <i>of the court,<\/i><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0they *said to Him, &#8220;Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"versemode\">&#8220;<\/span>Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, <span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;He who is without sin among you, let him <i>be the<\/i> first to throw a stone at her.&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">8 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">9 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0When they heard it, they <i>began<\/i> to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center <i>of the court.<\/i><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Straightening up, Jesus said to her, <span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She said, &#8220;No one, Lord.&#8221; And Jesus said, <span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.&#8221;<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>W \u201d\u00a6 \u201cWalking\u201d \u201d\u00a6 this speaks to Sanctification which reveals GROWTH <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Luke 10:38-42 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">38 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">39 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord&#8217;s feet, listening to His word.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">40 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up <i>to Him<\/i> and said, &#8220;Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">41 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But the Lord answered and said to her, <span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things;<\/span><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">42 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"JesusWords\">but <i>only<\/i> one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.&#8221;<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>O \u201d\u00a6 \u201cObedient\u201d \u201d\u00a6 this speaks to Serving which reveals GIVING<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Romans 16:1-2 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0that you receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and that you help her in whatever matter she may have need of you; for she herself has also been a helper of many, and of myself as well. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>L \u201d\u00a6 \u201cLove\u201d \u201d\u00a6 this speaks to Sacrifice which reveals <\/b><b>GOD <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Proverbs 31:10-31 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">10 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"poetry1\">\u00a0An excellent wife, who can find? <\/span><span class=\"poetry1\">For her worth is far above jewels.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">11 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0The heart of her husband trusts in her, <span class=\"poetry1\">And he will have no lack of gain.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She does him good and not evil <span class=\"poetry1\">All the days of her life.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She looks for wool and flax <span class=\"poetry1\">And works with her hands in delight.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She is like merchant ships; <span class=\"poetry1\">She brings her food from afar.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She rises also while it is still night <span class=\"poetry1\">And gives food to her household <\/span><span class=\"poetry1\">And portions to her maidens.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She considers a field and buys it; <span class=\"poetry1\">From her earnings she plants a vineyard.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She girds herself with strength <span class=\"poetry1\">And makes her arms strong.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She senses that her gain is good; <span class=\"poetry1\">Her lamp does not go out at night.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She stretches out her hands to the distaff, <span class=\"poetry1\">And her hands grasp the spindle.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She extends her hand to the poor, <span class=\"poetry1\">And she stretches out her hands to the needy.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">21 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She is not afraid of the snow for her household, <span class=\"poetry1\">For all her household are clothed with scarlet.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">22 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She makes coverings for herself; <span class=\"poetry1\">Her clothing is fine linen and purple.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">23 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Her husband is known in the gates, <span class=\"poetry1\">When he sits among the elders of the land.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">24 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She makes linen garments and sells <i>them,<\/i> <span class=\"poetry1\">And supplies belts to the tradesmen.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">25 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Strength and dignity are her clothing, <span class=\"poetry1\">And she smiles at the future.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">26 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She opens her mouth in wisdom, <span class=\"poetry1\">And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">27 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0She looks well to the ways of her household, <span class=\"poetry1\">And does not eat the bread of idleness.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">28 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Her children rise up and bless her; <span class=\"poetry1\">Her husband <i>also,<\/i> and he praises her, <i>saying:<\/i><\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">29 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0&#8220;Many daughters have done nobly, <span class=\"poetry1\">But you excel them all.&#8221;<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">30 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, <span class=\"poetry1\"><i>But<\/i> a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.<\/span> <span class=\"poetry1\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">31 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Give her the product of her hands, <span class=\"poetry1\">And let her works praise her in the gates.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>A.W.O.L. <\/b><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">(Alive, Walking, Obedient, Love)<\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Message by Dr. David Drake rec0508-102510 A.W.O.L.
