Who Are We?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><em><strong>A local church is an assembly of professing believers in Christ who have been scripturally baptized and who are organized to do the Father&#8217;s will.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Important to note&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>a) There must be a profession of faith in Jesus Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>b) The New Testament church knows nothing of an unbaptized church member.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>c) There is a purpose &#8211; doing the will of God which may be expressed in many ways.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">2. Why Are We Here?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><em><strong>The mission of Cross Road Christian Fellowship is to welcome others to the cross road through the grace and truth of Jesus.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Important to note&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>a) We must intentionally welcome others.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>b) We must meet people where they are, many at the crossroads of life.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>c) We must personally live and present grace and truth as the answer found only in\u00a0Jesus Christ.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">3. Where Are We Going?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Acts 2:37-47 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">37 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0Now when they heard <i>this,<\/i> they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, &#8220;Brethren, what shall we do?&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">38 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Peter <i>said<\/i> to them, &#8220;Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">39 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0<span class=\"versemode\">&#8220;<\/span>For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">40 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, &#8220;Be saved from this perverse generation!&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">41 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">42 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles&#8217; teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. <span class=\"ind\"><br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">43 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">44 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">45 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and they <i>began<\/i> selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">46 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">47 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>I. We are going to present a life changed by the\u00a0gospel&#8230;vs. 37-40<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>II. We are going to be obedient to the truth of the gospel, personally&#8230;vs. 41<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>III. We are goin to be committed to the principles of the gospel&#8230;vs. 42<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IV. We are going to worship the God of the gospel&#8230;vs. 43<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>V. We are going to love, sacrifice, and serve for the sake of the gospel&#8230;vs. 44-46<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>VI.
