“Divine Power”<\/em><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mark 2:1-12 (NASB)<\/strong><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/em>1 <\/sup><\/span><\/span>\u00a0When He had come back to Capernaum several days afterward, it was heard that He was at home. <\/span>
\n2 <\/sup>\u00a0And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, not even near the door; and He was speaking the word to them. <\/span>
\n3 <\/sup>\u00a0And they *came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four men. <\/span>
\n4 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0Being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had<\/span><\/span><\/span> dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n5 <\/sup>\u00a0And Jesus seeing their faith *said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”<\/span> <\/span>
\n6 <\/sup>\u00a0But some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, <\/span>
\n7 <\/sup>\u00a0“Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?” <\/span>
\n8 <\/sup>\u00a0Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, *said to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts?<\/span> <\/span>
\n9 <\/sup>\u00a0“<\/span>Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven’; or to say, ‘Get up, and pick up your pallet and walk’?<\/span> <\/span>
\n10 <\/sup>\u00a0“<\/span>But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”<\/span>\u201d\u201dHe *said to the paralytic, <\/span>
\n11 <\/sup>\u00a0“I say to you, get up, pick up your pallet and go home.”<\/span> <\/span>
\n12 <\/sup><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this.”<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0“Syllogism” (defined):<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

“An argument or form of reasoning in which two statements <\/span><\/strong>or premises are made and a logical conclusion drawn from them.”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Major Premise – All Bankers Wear Blue Suits<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Minor Premise – Helen Smith Is A Banker<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Conclusion – Helen Smith Wears Blue Suits<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Major Premise – Reading Is Important<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Minor Premise – Reading Makes You Smarter<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Conclusion – Being Smart Is Important<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

MAJOR PREMISE – GOD HAS DIVINE POWER<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

MINOR PREMISE – BELIEVERS MUST REACH THEIR WORLD FOR JESUS CHRIST<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

CONCLUSION – GOD’S DIVINE POWER THROUGH BELIEVERS WILL REACH THEIR WORLD FOR JESUS CHRIST<\/span><\/u><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

DO YOU WANT YOUR CHURCH TO GROW?<\/strong><\/u><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Three hard questions to process:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Do you think God wants His church to grow spiritually as well as numerically?<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Do you want your church to grow spiritually and numerically?<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Are you willing to pay the price to see this church grow spiritually and numerically?<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Now that you have formulated an answer to these three questions, let’s place these questions before you and please respond honestly.<\/strong><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    1. <\/strong>I have been impacted by the ministry of CRCF?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/u>Yes \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u> No\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/u> Somewhat<\/strong><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    2. Someone at \u00a0CRCF was, in the past, or is presently very instrumental in my spiritual\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0journey\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Yes\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>No\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>I don’t know<\/strong><\/p>\n
