{"id":2078,"date":"2015-11-22T16:43:20","date_gmt":"2015-11-22T20:43:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/?p=2078"},"modified":"2015-11-22T17:44:06","modified_gmt":"2015-11-22T21:44:06","slug":"an-attitude-of-gratitude","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/?p=2078","title":{"rendered":"An Attitude of Gratitude"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Message by Dr. David Drake<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crossroadchristianfellowship.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/rec1122-112938.mp3\">rec1122-112938<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">An Attitude of Gratitude<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>2 Timothy 3:1-2 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">1 <\/span><\/sup><span class=\"ind\">\u00a0But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ind\"><strong>1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0in everything give thanks; for this is God&#8217;s will for you in Christ Jesus. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ind\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3>I. A GRATEFUL PERSON IS A <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">HUMBLE<\/span> PERSON.<\/h3>\n<h3><span class=\"ind\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">II. A GRATEFUL HEART IS CONSCIOUS OF <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">GOD<\/span> AND <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">OTHERS.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">III. A GRATEFUL HEART IS A <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">FULL<\/span> HEART.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Philippians 4:15-19 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0for even in Thessalonica you sent <i>a gift<\/i> more than once for my needs.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">IV. A GRATEFUL HEART IS A <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CONTENTED<\/span> HEART.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Luke 17:12-16 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">12 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0As He entered a village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met Him;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">13 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and they raised their voices, saying, &#8220;Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!&#8221;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">14 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0When He saw them, He said to them, <span class=\"JesusWords\">&#8220;Go and show yourselves to the priests.&#8221;<\/span> And as they were going, they were cleansed.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">15 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">V. A GRATEFUL HEART WILL BE <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">REVEALED<\/span> AND <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">EXPRESSED<\/span> BY THANKFUL WORDS.<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Colossians 3:16-17 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">16 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms <i>and<\/i> hymns <i>and<\/i> spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">17 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Whatever you do in word or deed, <i>do<\/i> all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.<br \/>\n<strong>Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">6 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. <span class=\"ind\"><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Ephesians 5:18-20 (NASB)<br \/>\n<\/strong><sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">18 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">19 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;<br \/>\n<sup><span style=\"color: #000000;\">20 <\/span><\/sup>\u00a0always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\">VI.
